Buddies

There’s nothing like the support of friends, knowing that there are people who will stand by your side, to get you through. But what happens when you see things differently than your friends, when you are pulled towards an idea, a belief, an interest that is foreign to those who are closest to you? Sometimes friendships are broken by this tug in a new direction, but the deepest connections contain enough elasticity to allow differences not to be divisions.

Who are you bound to with an elastic bond that keeps you connected through all the changes of your life?

  1. I don’t know if I have anyone like that. I have a friend on another continent who might fit the bill.

  2. I feel like I have been that person for a few of my friends. I’m not sure that I know anyone that I believe in enough to feel like they would stick with me no matter what except my partner.

  3. Who are you bound to with an elastic bond that keeps you connected through all the changes of your life?…
To begin with, it would have to include all of my friends who are as eccentric and all-inclusive as I am … those who don’t get shook by an idea that is radical or outrageous – who can hear it; shake their head if they understand it, or ask questions to understand it better; and not get all bent out of shape, if it’s still something they could not agree with.
    Namaste & Bright Blessings!
