Paint the Sky

rainbow and childA rainbow exists not in the sky, but rather in the vision of the person who sees the refracted light. So really, why not create rainbows entirely out of your own mind?

How can you change a situation you are in by changing your perception of it?

  1. My tag line for a Women’s Spirituality class I taught was “Why live a gray tweed life when you can have a rainbow.” We are co-creators of our life’s reality.

  2. I have always believed that life is what one believes. However, it is enhanced or even produced from physical realities. I for instance, use the concept of the rainbow in two aspects currently; one is when I volunteer as a Docent at our Governor’s Mansion in our capital city. When I point out the chandeliers with prisms, I challenge the fourth graders to see the rainbow of all the colors that we humans see because of the sunlight playing on the hanging pendants. The other example is that in my Tai Chi class, during the movement arching above as a rainbow, I form with my two hands connected the color elements by extending my fingers outward and join my thumbs and first fingers into a raindrop shape in the middle. I enjoy engaging in these thoughts about a physical reality.
