  1. About this time every summer morning, the sun hits the leaves of a hackberry tree outside my bedroom window, turning them a vibrant chartreuse. That is the first daily gift the universe gives me and I stay open to receiving others.

  2. Today a rainbow appeared right in front of me as I sat on the porch overlooking the meadow where six deer wandered in to feed. A hummingbird settled on the feeder to drink. It felt magickal, miraculous! I felt rich.

  3. Earlier this summer I saw a double rainbow (one on top of the other) while stopped to pump gas. I looked up and there it was! I took out my cell phone and snapped a picture. When I looked around again, I noticed that several other people had abandoned their gas pumps to marvel at this sight too. I think this was the first time I have encountered this phenomenon. It was certainly a beautiful and very rare sight.
