I reached out to my Republican friend today to explain how his uninsured adult daughter would benefit from the ACA (Obamacare). She has medical issues and the bills are piling up. My own daughter has a preexisting condition that would leave her uninsured without the new law. We share many of the same concerns as parents.
We put politics aside and talked about how people need to take care of one another, the way God intended. We agreed that the law isn’t perfect but it’s a step in the right direction. We will never agree on everything but we found common ground today.
