It’s hard to imagine who would buy the rusting, disintegrated shell of an old jalopy, but you never know. One person’s trash is another one’s treasure.

When have you been delighted to get something that nobody else wanted?

The world is full of dangers and difficulties and people who are just plain dislikeable. It would be foolish to just welcome the whole world in with open arms. Thank goodness for fools.

The voice that came out of the burning bush told Moses “Take off your shoes. You are standing on holy ground.” But you don’t need a mysterious voice from a flaming bush to take of your shoes and let the place where you are be holy.

Where have you stood barefoot on holy ground?

Providing towels for a guest is an expected courtesy, but topping them with a rose is an extravagant offering of beauty.

When has the world given you far more than you had reason to expect?
