Imagine reaching up and up, through the green, silted water, toward the sun. You break through into air, a whole new element. And there, in bud, you pause. And then bloom.
It’s a gratifying feeling, knowing you’re on the right track, heading toward where you want to go. But sometimes it’s even better to be on the left track, headed somewhere different than the rest of the crowd.
Well, sure, the cosmos is the universe, the biggest thing out there. It’s also a very pretty kind of flower. Sometimes you need to start by loving the world you can see and touch and smell before you go grand.
