What varieties of yourself do you take pleasure in?

The story in Genesis describes how Adam and Eve discovered, after eating the forbidden fruit, that they were naked. And they were ashamed and covered themselves with fig leaves. Which can’t have been comfortable—either the shame or the fig leaves.

When have you discovered a secret that you just as soon would never have known about?

Sitting in front of a blank page reveals that the most frustrating secrets can be the things that we simply have not been able to access within ourselves—the gifts that we have not yet figured out how to give the world.

What helps you to access the creativity that lies dormant within you?

Superheroes and super villains lurk within seemingly ordinary people, only revealed when occasion demands that they emerge from the Batcave or transform in a phone booth.

What superhero (or villain) would you choose as your secret identity?

The key is in the lock, but hasn’t been turned in years—maybe decades.

Is your inclination to turn the key and see what has been hidden, or would you rather trust that there is good reason to leave the secret locked away?
