The Place of Expectation

“Art is long, life short, judgment difficult, opportunity transient. To act is easy, to think is hard; to act according to our thought is troublesome. Every beginning is cheerful: the threshold is the place of expectation.”
―Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

What thought and planning are you putting into a threshold you see in your life?

  1. DurIng the first ten years of my retirement, I was fortunate to have a reserved fund that I found I could use for travel, both abroad and nationally. I don’t regret using it that way. it has filled my life with memories and friendships I treasure. What I am regretting is the fact that I have boxes of acquired menus, folders, memos, air tickets and etc. of places I have visited. I’m not the journal writer type. I have the aspiration to take these “treasures”, put them in collages that I can arrange artistically for my own pleasure and for others as a way of exhibiting my travel happinesses.
