An Abundance of Talent

What talent do you enjoy sharing?

  1. Sharing talents in general is primarily a firm part of belonging to an organization, such as a UU fellowship. With limited funds, it is imperative that members (and others who offer) consider what they can give and actively share. I share my interests and talents in the fields of music and art as well as with our 65er’s plus group. I also work with the Worship Planning Committee and the Caring Committee. In reverse my UUF community shares my birthdays generously; recently my “gift” was a donation from the members to give to a local elementary school where library funds are limited since I worked until retirement as Youth Services Consultant with the State Library and have a history as a children’s librarian.

  2. I share my cooking skills. I like nourishing people, and I also like impressing them sometimes.

    1. Good for you, Maggie! There can be a great deal of satisfaction in having people enjoy your food. I seem to be the kind that likes to experiment on a new dish when guests come so they (and I) always wonder how it will turn out. Sometimes good, other times not so good, but my friends seem to always be willing to accept whatever comes to the table!

    2. Good for you, Maggie! Sharing food you’ve cooked is almost always a pleasure, I think. I seem to be the kind that chooses to experiment with a new dish to try out on friends. Sometimes it’s good, other times not so good. My friends, however, almost always seem to appreciate trying out something new!
