My Soul Expands

Spiral GalaxyWhen I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.

What wonders cause your soul to expand?

  1. My soul expands when I contemplate the fact that every snowflake is unique. This fact is especially soul-expanding when I look at a whole field or a whole street covered in snow! (As a non-theist, though, I differ from the Mahatma, and my soul-expanding wonder is not tied to a particular creator.)

    1. Karen, your comment is very thoughtful and it’s lovely to think of each individual snowflake falling by itself, softly, however it has been arranged for us to enjoy. thank you.

  2. Classical music, even the most modern, takes me by surprise when I hear special combinations of sounds from various instruments speaking together to form a complete harmony for me. Sometimes it is patterned after a familiar part of nature; other times it seems to represent our mechanized human world of invention; in whatever form, I am at least temporarily transported out of my every day thinking to wonder about how and by whom it sounded first so that it could be created.
