Look, the trees
are turning
their own bodies
into pillars
of light…

When are you at your most blazingly brilliant?

When I am leading children to look and see the magical wonder of the natural world.
When I am leading children to look and see the magical wonder of the natural world.
I think when I’m with my four year old granddaughter explaining things about nature to her, and, also when I am relaxed, just out with my dogs!
I feel at my most brilliant when I am sharing a sudden new idea I’ve had about something that I considered ordinary but now think is worth much more consideration. Example: lately I been thinking how structured our ordinary lives are as drivers of automobiles. We are habituated (of necessity) to start, stop, slow down, follow the directions of the traffic lights. Those who don’t drive or those who live in a culture where this is not required of them must have a much different idea of their relationship to the world.
