Alone at Last

In this holiday season when all the talk is of family and being together, a deserted island might strike you as a place of intolerable loneliness, or it might seem like a paradise where you could finally have room to breathe and be yourself. Even the most social of us need moments when we can be alone with our own thoughts.

How will you find a moment today to cherish being by yourself?

  1. My physical therapists have told me that I need to apply heat to my neck, shoulders, and upper back for at least twenty minutes a day. I’m trying to view this as an opportunity to relax my mind as well as my body and to commune with the Divine.

Aside from that, I spend a lot of time in my room physically apart from other human beings. Often I’m busy reading blogs and so on which kinda connects me with others. Practicing recorder is more private time, though the results eventually get displayed for others.

  2. I have not enjoyed the shortened daily meditations and I really miss the longer, more thoughtful ideas. I am cancelling my subscription. I hope you come up with something more inspiring.
