The water is dazzling in the sunlight, a thousand diamonds set in sapphire. But water, of course, has neither light nor color of its own: it simply reflects what hits it back out into the world. Which makes it no less beautiful.
How will you help someone else’s light to shine forth in the world?
I do this to some extent when I play recorder as I often play pieces written by someone else. Without someone to interpret and give voice to the notes on the page, the music would be dead, gone from the world.

I offer encouragement, guidance, and teaching – whenever somebody seeks me out for same. I never force my opinions on anyone; I encourage them to share theirs – in the hope that we both may grow from the experience.
