Information Overload

Never before in history have we had access to so much information. And never before in history have we had so little capacity to sort through the flood of information that comes at us, some of which is crucial, some of which is irrelevant and some of which is just plain wrong. It’s easy to feel like so much is rushing in that our heads might explode.

What helps you to manage the information that comes at you?

All of us follow some rules and not others—you could certainly feel that it’s important to tell the truth at all times, but decide that always being happy is not realistic or necessary or even a good thing.

The Really Real

Plato famously claimed that everything we saw in life was simply shadows cast on the wall of a cave, while the “really real” truth happened outside the cave, beyond human perception.
