Silence=Death

During the first decade of the HIV/AIDS pandemic silence on the part of government and society served to devalue the lives of those who were dying. Silence perpetuated and magnified the harm done by the virus. ACT-UP, among other groups, refused to be complicit in this silence.

Difficulties on the Journey

Troy, a CLF member incarcerated in Ohio writes, “The journey will always have difficulties. Had I focused my outlook on a limiting philosophy, gotten lured in, I could easily have been hooked and sunk by its impossible weight.”
