Where do you feel most at home?
Each of us glows with an inner light, a spark of holiness inherent in our being. But sometimes it’s hard to feel the presence of that light, and harder still to feel like you are making your light shine out in the world. In those moments it really helps when someone or something can lend us a little glow until we can find our own spark again.
Who or what has helped your to rekindle your inner light?
The goal in baseball is to go on a journey around the bases and return back home again. Sometimes you hit a home run and make it all the way around based on your own extraordinary efforts. But more often you depend on others to make the hits that allow you to progress around the bases. As often as not, we need others to help us get home.
Who helps you to make it to a place of home?
Monarch butterflies need the warmth of southern lands to survive the winter, but the caterpillars which are their young depend on milkweed plants that thrive in more northern climates. And so they migrate as much as 2500 miles, seeking the dual homes that their lives depend on.
