What have you found along the way to achieving a goal?

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. But really, most often there is light inside the tunnel itself. It might not be as bright as you were hoping for, but enough to make your way through.

What has given you a little bit of light as you made your way through a dark time?

Maybe you have gone far enough. Just for right now. Of course you will head out again—tie your shoes and hit the road. You have places to go, things to do. But not right now. If only for the space of a few breaths, just rest.

What renews you?

There are 88 keys on a piano, but really only 12 notes that repeat up and down the keyboard. So few options, but enough choices to find your way to everything from Bach to the Beatles.

How has a situation with limited options offered you everything you needed?

Every journey, in whatever direction and whatever the distance, always starts out the same way. Wherever you are going and however you are going to get there, you first have to walk out the door. It may be that that first step over the threshold of the familiar is the hardest step of all.
