Escape

There’s a lot to be said for persistence, for sticking it out and finding a way to solve difficult problems. But sometimes the best—or only—solution is to escape, to leave behind something that won’t work, whether or not you know what you are running toward.

Shoes

They say that you can’t know a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes. But really, even then, their shoes probably wouldn’t fit you the way they fit them.

In what areas of your life do you have privileges that others don’t? In what areas do you lack privileges others have?

Safe

We put things we value into the strongest of vaults, locked behind keys and combinations and inches of steel. Which makes them very hard to steal, and very hard to get to at all.
