The space shuttle is able to leave the earth’s pull, travel through space, and then return home again. But it’s only able to launch into space because it is propelled by rockets that will not make the whole, grand journey.

Where, in your life or in society, do you see the beginnings of evil?
It takes courage to walk through a doorway, to step into something new. But walking through door after door, moving into change after change, beginning and beginning again, can be both intimidating and exhausting. It can also be incredibly exciting, and those times of rapid and continuing change tend to be the times that stand out most in our lives.
How has coping with change prepared you to walk through yet another doorway?
“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket,” we are told, but why? It’s awfully hard to create something new and important without investing your heart and soul into that passionate commitment. Sure, it’s possible the endeavor will fail, that all the eggs will fall and break. But you’re unlikely to ever succeed in something great without putting in all of your eggs.
What are you fully committed to creating?
Stars are born out of an amorphous cloud of gas. All that concentrated light and heat arising from something so vague seems hard to believe, but it does happen over a really, really long time.
