Money is a fiction—a common understanding we agree to share about bits of metal and paper or numbers on a computer—and yet it is the thing that takes of the greatest part of most people’s time and attention.

In what area of your life does that fiction of money feel most urgent and real?

Malleable

An infinity of shapes are inherent in the clay—and if you don’t like what you get you can always mush it up and start again. The clay only becomes rigid and fixed once it is fired.  That, of course, is the point at which it becomes useful.
