What have you done to prepare for natural disasters?
Any time you take a leap, literal or metaphorical, there is a moment mid-air when you don’t know what will happen when you land. In that moment, anything is possible. It takes considerable courage to leave the ground.
What leap have you taken lately?
Advent is the polar opposite of our month’s theme of The Unexpected—it is about eager anticipation and preparation for what is to come. Advent time spent reflecting on the themes of hope, love, joy and peace not only prepare for Christmas, they also create the experience of the holiday.
What are you preparing for?
It is a wonderful thing to get support and affirmation and praise from friends or family or folks at work. But it doesn’t always happen. You are entitled to support yourself, to praise yourself, to give yourself the advice and consolation and forgiveness you would give a dearly beloved friend.
