We step over a threshold into another world. But sometimes even when you cross a threshold you can only see a few feet in front of you. You can only see what is around the bend by moving forward—where you will surely encounter another bend, and another call to move forward.
What are you curious about that is beyond what you can currently know?
Looking ahead is why I enjoy driving on roads with curves. What’s around the next bend? Each road has a speed that feels just right, and it’s nice to be able to drive that speed. Driving is not a metaphor for life simply because life curves are far more complicated.
