You would think that if you asked people about their heroes you would get a list of famous people who did extraordinary things against great odds—and that does describe some heroes. But many people’s heroes are their parents, teachers, mentors. People who made a difference without making a fuss.
Who are your heroes and why?
Today my heroes are my husband, local police officers, church staff, and the homeless people who have been hanging around getting to know us. They all looked inside and outside the church after my son disappeared and finally about an hour or more later was found by police at a nearby church. My poor heart was so taxed that I neglected to get the officers’ names. I was so impressed at so many people caring!
