The longest night of the year invites us to sit, if only for a moment, in the presence of darkness, of mystery, of possibility and potential. The darkness is a gift. So are the stars and other tiny lights that we only notice when we step into the dark.
What do you find when you enter the darkness?

I have discovered that the advice given to sleep in a darkened room is valid. I have arranged my bedroom so that when turning off the final light, it is almost completely dark and I sink into the darkness in gratitude that it is a welcoming place for me to be.
