The Spirit of Gratitude

“Blessings are more cherished by those who bear the spirit of gratitude.”
― Edmond Mbiaka

What helps you to remember the ways in which you are blessed?

  1. Blessed is a difficult word to define, in my opinion. Being blessed by something or someone of a certain classification means that that “something” has the ability to bless. I’m not certain who that might be. When I think of some wonderful things that are given to me by a circumstance or directly
by the act of another human, I can imagine that I would “feel blessed”. I prefer to consider the moments when I have been fortunate to receive an extraordinary attention or gift as something I recognize as rewarded without my petitioning. I like to think of others honoring me or being pleased by me in some way. Not feeling blessed , if indeed some feel that way, must be a despairing feeling.
