  1. We are preparing for Harvey. If the storm stays on current course, we should only get the outer tropical storm winds, as little as 25-30 mph here in Houston. However, the storm is predicted to “get stuck” and continue dumping heavy rain tonight through Wed. We know from past experience that there will be big-time flooding in Houston and worse in areas closer to the coast or closer to the place where the eye makes landfall. I can’t think glorious right now, but ask for thoughts and prayers for south-central and south-east Texas.

    1. Margaret, I am sending prayers for you and all of your friends and loved ones that you may be safe and able to ride out the havoc that the storm is inflicting on Houston.

      1. Thanks so much. So far so good for me. I still have power, water and internet. I’m not real close to any bayou and am on the 2nd floor of a 3 story building, which makes me feel safe.

Although I am childless, I delight in the sheer happiness that I can see and feel in a young one’s pleasure; sometimes it is a new discovery; other times it may be something accomplished that comes as such a reward to the child; other times it is the realization that someone loves them completely.
