I worked as a teacher in a small Kansas town for several years, enjoyed it and the people I knew. After leaving there, I continued to be in touch with many of a group of my favorite friends and went back “just because” quite a few times especially since they would say “When are you coming back?” until they all died. Even now I’d like to go back but I will think of them and that town from afar.
