Culinary Creation

We used to say that humans were the only animal to make tools, but that turns out to be flat-out wrong. It would be misguided to say that we are the only beings to make art—don’t whales create songs? We are, however, the only animal to have figured out the glories of cooking. Go, humans!

How do you express your creativity through food?

  1. I have several ways of expressing myself through culinary practices. I , eating alone, set my table with attractive place settings and try to prepare my meal with a good presentation. I also have become a creator of mixtures of leftovers that usually (not always!) turn into a delicious combination. In addition, when I entertain with a dinner party, I like to use a theme, either centered around a certain country’s cuisine or another type of theme. Once I had a party with refreshments, and it was a theme party called “ART”. I had various displays, some humorous around the premises so that guests could eat and also peruse the various art objects.

I also have become quite creative with combining leftovers and (usually) they are tasty. When I have guests, I like to have a theme party: either one that features a country’s cuisine or another theme. I once had an ART party; with the refreshments that were placed here and there around the house, I also had art objects ( some humorous) located for the guests to discover as they ambled here and there. It was great fun!
