broken teapot - morguefileIt is a sad fact of life that sometimes things—from teapots to relationships—sometimes break so thoroughly that you simply have to figure out how to go on without them.

  1. There are some rare exceptions when things broken are deemed so important that they are preserved in their imperfection – glued back together – both valued possessions and relationships – cracks still showing, but held together nonetheless. The question is whether these are worth keeping in less than perfect form – the cracks now part of the design – as well as a reminder of their value.
