Hidden

out of the cave - doug plummerThe view of the waterfall is lovely, but the view from behind the waterfall is magical. Sometimes it’s worth a bit of a scramble to see things from a new perspective.

When has a shift of perspective changed your view of the world?

  1. A shift in perspective happened recently to me. I received , first, the usual photo holiday card with some information: Evan is now 16 and….next Phill, two years younger …..
I had not seen them (second cousins for at least 3/4 years). So, anyway, I sent them some children’s pages of info and games etc. that I had saved for years….and years! I received a note from Mom saying that the pages would be good to have for the boys to peruse on MLK Jr day since they wouldn’t be in school. Soon thereafter, I received handwritten long notes from them telling of what they had found most interesting when they read some of the news. What a pleasure; what a surprise to realize that they are older, wiser, well versed in thankfulness and not little boys any more. I will treat them now as young men.
