How do you step outside the ways that society tries to confuse our understanding of abundance and happiness?
Probably this doesn’t make much difference in the scheme of over “abundance” but I refuse to give adulation to film and TV celebrities, their abilities and their private lives. When I go to a movie or watch a TV show, I go to get the idea of the plot, the characterizations of the actors and don’t even bother to think “Oh, she did a wonderful job as “….”! I realize that it takes talent to be an actor but I don’t admire them any more than I do a talented chemist who may change the world for us.
