When you look at this picture, is your eye drawn to the lush flowers or the barren crag? To the welcoming valley or the great expanse of open sky? It is, as they say, all in the eye of the beholder.
What beauty will you find today?

One of my favorite things to find beauty in are leaves; I like all seasons of leaf growth but especially in the fall, I am always traipsing home with a branch or a single leaf that catches my eye because of form or color. They end up staying in my home for a while, stuck here or there. Bringing nature inside is probably necessary to me. When my aging mother was home bound, I would bring something from nature inside for her to see, smell, touch etc. It made life more real for her. It does for me, too.
I find beauty in many things that occur in nature, but mountains top the list. Rivers that carve through canyons are also one of my favorite things. Inspiring, and such a feeling of vastness!
Your response about the vastness of nature is inspiring; I, too, am in awe of it. Even though I like the minute parts, such as a beautiful leaf, both extremes hold beauty.
