Beneath the Blanket

WinterSkyEverything sleeps quietly beneath a blanket of snow, the image of stillness and peace. But under the snow the mice are busily tunneling, sap is beginning to move in the limbs of the bare trees, and below the ground bulbs are beginning to crack open. Perfect quiet is an illusion. There is always life ready to break through.

Where is life breaking through to disturb your peace?

  1. Life and peace coexist. Without either there would be nothing of importance. I think they nourish one another.
Allowing both to be part of one’s life makes for happiness. Why exclude either? The challenge is to balance both so that they complement each other. After experiencing it, peacefulness allows one to go forth and face the world, carry on, do the job and enjoy life. Life is the basis for being active in whatever way it leads one. Life needs the activity of searching, being open to surprises, both happy and sad and makes people understand the potential qualities within and around themselves.
