All Decked Out

PaintedLadyAs the trees shed their leaves and the colors of summer fade, there is even more pleasure to be found in the colors that remain, and the ways that we choose to add brightness to the world.

How do you add brightness to your life as the colors of nature fade?

  1. Volunteering in the local grammar school-Having lunch with a second grader
adds color to my fall/winter- though winter is my favorite season- and I live in Maine!!!

    1. Hello Cleone, what a pleasure it must be to be in the company of an eager beaver second grader. They are so curious, aren’t they? Maine should be beautiful right now but I bet that this year here in Missouri we could offer a little competition! It is one of the most beautifully colored times I’ve ever seen. Good luck with future days with young children.

  2. When colors leave, leaf by leaf, I anticipate the beautiful tree branch patterns that come with winter snow. The dark and white together, tracing the outlines of all of the variety of shapes are a joy to see. I think of any of these beauties as once in a life time chance. We only see them one time … once. However, the artist in us can keep them as memories.
