You might think of a bridge as a road or walkway over the top of a river, that allows you to get safely from one side to the other. But for a fish, a bridge is an awning, a means of providing shade as you loiter comfortably in the water.

I am trying to see our mother-daughter relationship from my daughter’s perspective in hopes of getting some sort of reconciliation & forgiveness in place, so we can interact with each other after 10 years of estrangement. This is very hard to do when she’s not speaking to either me or her father. She is in contact with all other family members.
