United Nations Day

If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.
―Lao Tse

In honor of United Nations Day, what will you do today to make peace?

  1. I will focus on making more peace in my heart by using my biofeedback device. I will attempt to bike and to do a relaxation exercise for the same purpose.

I will continue to do my best to avoid sarcastic remarks and biting humor towards my family. I really struggle with this, but I’ve had more success with this in the last few days and this morning, and I hope to become even better at treating them with compassion.

  2. I, and numerous American Unitarian Universalists, have decided that the easiest international practice which can improve relations among nations is learn the meaning of compromise. When we ask others to speak our language, English–after 10 tedious years of study– without learning theirs, we oppose compromise. The language Esperanto was created as a bridge between nations and is working. Just GOOGLE Esperanto or browse my English blog, Esperanto Friends, with English descriptions of thousands of excellent websites and blogs in this beautiful language to see how well it works.

  3. I’ll correspond with my Esperanto-friends all over the world about peace and friendship.
Mi korespondos kun miaj Esperanto-amikoj tutmonde pri paco kaj amikeco.

  4. In honor of United Nations Day, what will you do today to make peace?…
I am not even at peace with myself…
    Blessings,

  5. I deeply and completly accept myself and profoundly forgive myself even though I do not feel at peace with myself. And I open myself to the possibility that I could feel such peace.

Even though I look up at the limits of my ceiling I know there is an infinite sky above, so too do I know that even though I cannot at this moment feel such peace, that it is always there, just like the infinite sky.

    1. Greetings, Adele!

I think I know how you feel. I often sense that there “IS” a Peace, beyond me and my inner turmoils. Perhaps, one day we can find that – each along our separate Paths!

      Blessings!
      Dwayne
