Hooray for the all the fools—for all the people who laugh easily, behave oddly, dance to music that only they can hear. Hooray for the people who see things differently, desire what others don’t want, risk for the sake of what is precious only to them. On this, their special day, may they be blessed.

My father, my mother, and I all were born on April 1st. I claim my birthright as a faithful fool. It is my life’ s work.
The memory of the late song and dance guy, Ray Bolger makes me smile. He can still be seen occasionally as Scare Crow in the “The Wizard of Oz.” He had a long performing career. I remember especially his tap dance routine in which he also sang “Once in Love With Amy.”
