It turns out that a lot of people who don’t believe in God, and don’t ordinarily pray, find themselves praying as the airplane they are in prepares to leave the ground.
Are there situations in which you are surprised to find yourself praying?
As fall deepens, the last leaves give up their grasp and are carried away. But the vines clinging to the walls aren’t going anywhere.

The word Islam means submission. To be a Muslim means to submit your life to Allah, and the practice of deeply bowing in prayer is a reminder of that submission to the Merciful, the Compassionate.
