While You Wait

HangingClothesWhen your clothes are hanging on the line, they dry while you wait and do nothing to speed their drying along. The wind and sun will take care of them with no further input from you. The trick is that this miracle only occurs if you put in the effort to get them out onto the line to begin with.

What are you putting “out on the line” so that time or the universe can take care of it for you?

Before the Waterfall

BeforeTheWaterfall“Learning to let go should be learned before learning to get. Life should be touched, not strangled. You’ve got to relax, let it happen at times, and at others move forward with it. It’s like boats. You keep your motor on so you can steer with the current. And when you hear the sound of the waterfall coming nearer and nearer, tidy up the boat, put on your best tie and hat, and smoke a cigar right up till the moment you go over. That’s a triumph.”
―Ray Bradbury

What would you choose to do before the boat you’re in goes over the waterfall?

Swinging

SwingingWould you like to swing on a star… invites the old song. Well, maybe you can’t really, but you could swing on the playground or on a trapeze or even, very gently, on a porch swing. You could swing yourself out into the air, secure in the knowledge that gravity will draw you back every time.

What draws you back home when you push yourself out toward the clouds?
