Some people burn with such a passionate intensity that they are able to kindle enthusiasm in those around them. Of course, it’s also true that some people are so burnt out that their presence is exhausting.
Whose presence is having an impact on you these days?
We humans are very good at fixing and arranging and building and changing. But sometimes we manage to sit still long enough to realize that rather than improving things we could manage to simply belong.
What will you simply enjoy the way it is today?

How has something that you were told to appreciate turned out to be far from a blessing?
Wouldn’t it be great if our day started with the perfect, healthy, delicious meal, arranged and glowing like a work of art? Wouldn’t it be great to lay everything out just so, reveling in its wholistic completion? Who knows? It’s not as if anyone actually lives that way.
What imperfect, flawed thing has blessed you today?
We lift our eyes to the mountains, to the majesty and beauty of the rocky crags. But day-to-day living happens in the valleys, in the less exalted, but more livable spaces.
