New Year’s Eve, although it may be raucous, is a bit of a pause in the cycle of the year, a deep breath as we look toward the horizon, wondering what the next wave will bring.
On the cusp of the New Year, are you riding the wave, under water, paddling in the shadows, swimming out to sea or headed toward shore?
There are definitely times when we are skating on thin ice, worried that the surface that holds us will crack. But at other points in life it is possible to relax into an assured sense that while we might stumble and fall, the ice beneath us is firm and reliable.
