Sometimes life forces us to go slow, to follow the signs that demand that we take it easy.

Has idleness that was not your choice ever been a blessing?

Is the tree hanging on by its roots, struggling to keep from falling in the water, or is it leaning in toward the Source of Life, eager to be ever closer the water that sustains it?

How do you lean in toward the Source of Life?

Blessed are the people with whom we can let down our hair, who will walk with us in conversation or silence, who will take our hand and swing it cheerfully between us as we go.

Who can you let down your hair with?

Three penguins neatly in a row, but look carefully and you’ll find the one who is hiding behind a plant, probably pretending he is a secret agent. This penguin knows things the other three don’t.

How do you step out of line when then world seems a bit too regimented?

The Buddha looks well pleased to be surrounded by flowers, lovingly placed and grown for his delight.
