“Now you see me, now you don’t” is a great game to play with a baby, who is captivated by the mystery of how people can appear and disappear in a moment. It’s only when we’re a bit older that we learn that those things we can’t see are still with us.

Welcome to the dawn of a new year! It may be just a date on the calendar, but why not take advantage of the sense that that we are starting fresh, and everything is possible?
What is your fondest hope for the year to come?
On New Year’s Eve it is traditional to create resolutions of how we will be or do better in the year to come. On New Year’s Day it is traditional to break those resolutions. Maybe it would be better to use New Year’s Eve as a time to reflect on what in our lives is ready to open naturally into a new beginning.
What in your life do you feel will be opening soon?
On a sunny day no one needs a lighthouse. But if the lighthouse is not built and maintained on the sunny days, it won’t be present when needed on the stormy nights.
What do you cultivate so that you will have it when you need it?
