Oddly, it is the way in which the trees block the light that makes the rays of sunlight—light more distinctively visible than the unfiltered light. Sometimes obstruction gives us a clearer view.
What have you understood only once something got in your way?
Resilience could be defined as the ability to not be broken by circumstances. But it could also be understood as the ability to make something beautiful from the pieces after we break.

In the same way that building muscle requires exercise, building resilience requires the active practice of determination, hope and courage.
What practices build your resilience?
The waterways of Venice lend it a unique glamor. The waterways are there, of course, because there’s just so much water, and people found a way to work with the fact.
