Hero/Villain

A hero puts their own life on the line for principles that we prize. A villain takes the lives of others for reasons that we don’t understand. It is entirely possible for one person to fit both definitions.

When have you changed your mind about whether a person was a hero or a villain?

On the Outside

So often we are taught to hide our “bad” feelings so that those around us don’t have to witness our grief or depression or rage. Which means that so often we pass up opportunities to both learn from and teach the lessons of those strong emotions.

What have you learned from coming face to face with another person’s grief or rage?

Saying No

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, were we could have said—no. But somehow we missed it. ”
―Tom Stoppard

What do you wish you had done earlier to prevent problems that occurred down the line?

Flawed

Flawed is when your apple has some spots or bruises—like we all do. Evil is when you choose to poison the apple.

When have you mistaken someone’s flaws for deliberate evil? When has someone made that mistake about you?
