We see evil when it explodes in front of us in tragedies of horrific scale. But most acts of evil are far more subtle, and tend to slip by unnoticed.

It seems pretty unreasonable to avoid an innocent black cat because superstition says that it’s unlucky to have it cross your path. But then again, if it were reasonable, it wouldn’t be superstition.
