Restoring Honor

“We need acts of restoration, not only for polluted waters and degraded lands, but also for our relationship to the world. We need to restore honor to the way we live, so that when we walk through the world we don’t have to avert our eyes with shame, so that we can hold our heads up high and receive the respectful acknowledgment of the rest of the earth’s beings.”
― Robin Wall Kimmerer

How do you seek to honor, and be honored by, the earth’s beings?

Passover

The Passover Seder traditionally ends with the declaration “Next year in Jerusalem!” The ceremony, which celebrates Jews escaping slavery and making their way to the Promised Land, concludes with looking forward to the restoration of the Temple that was destroyed in that land so many centuries ago. Prayer and probability don’t necessarily line up.

What do you wish could be restored, even though you don’t think it could ever happen?

Inspire Others

“Inspire others every day” seems like a pretty big ask. I mean, sometimes just inspiring ourselves to do the laundry or take out the trash seems like more than enough. But who can say what aspects of our lives might be inspiring others without our even knowing it?

What would you like to inspire in others?
