What kind of breaks from work help to reconnect you to the world?

The ukulele is not the kind of instrument that you play in a symphony. It’s little and quiet, and really pretty easy, as instruments go. It’s also joyful and fun and perfect for enticing people into singing along.

We tend to think of “sparks flying” as an expression of sexual passion. But there are plenty of other things in the world to be passionate about, from the satisfaction of building something sturdy to the intellectual joy of learning something new.
