Rosh Hashana

For Jews, Rosh Hashana marks the start of the new year not just for people but for all of creation—it is the birthday of the universe.

What wish would you make if you were blowing out candles on the universe’s birthday cake?

Building Blocks

It used to be that Legos didn’t come in fancy kits to make pirate ships or space fighters. You got bricks of different sizes and colors, and you used your imagination to figure out what you wanted to build. Which was limited by the fact that you only had block shapes to work with.

― Ursula K. Le Guin
