What do you hear in your moments of stillness?
During the first decade of the HIV/AIDS pandemic silence on the part of government and society served to devalue the lives of those who were dying. Silence perpetuated and magnified the harm done by the virus. ACT-UP, among other groups, refused to be complicit in this silence.
